It should be noted that the total fish catch is made up by ICES-areas - see map below.

The map is showing beyond ICES-areas, also national fishing borders - the red lines. ICES-areas are the “boxes” - the gray lines.

Faroese waters is also in ICES-Ila, -lva and -Va.

In addition, some of the catch, at the Hatton Bank and in international waters of the Irminger Sea, is seen as catch in Faroese waters.
