The wage expenditure statistics include all wages payed by Faroese companies via the pay-as-you-earn tax system.
The unit is payed wage in 1,000 DKK for done work. Other payments and remunerations e.g. grants and pensions are, therefore, not included.
The wages are payed by resident Faroese companies and not by foreign or pro forma registered foreign companies.
All wages satisfying these conditions are included, wether or not the receiver is Faroese or foreign.
