The wage expenditure statistics include all wages payed by Faroese companies via the pay-as-you-earn tax system.
The unit is payed wage in 1,000 DKK for done work. Other payments and remunerations e.g. grants and pensions are, therefore, not included.
Only wages payed by resident Faroese companies are include. Wages payed by foreign companies or pro forma registered foreign companies are not included.
All wages satisfying these conditions are included, wether or not the receiver is Faroese or foreign.
