The age-specific fertility rate is the number of children borne alive per 1,000 women of the same age.
The age is defined as the age the mother obtained by the end of the year she gave birth.
Total fertility rate is the average number of children that would be born to a 1,000 women in their lifetime if:
_ they were to experience the exact current age-specific fertility rates through their lifetime, and
_ they were to survive from birth through the end of their reproductive life.
