The figures indicate to which degree the building acitivity has assured production in the order books and at which level their current order books are compared to the normal. The balance-figure is the difference between the positive and negative answers and is ranging from -100 to +100. The indicator and balances for the building activity show development, current situation and expectations based on 6 questions asked twice a year in a survey of 20-25 companies. The questions refer to i.a. trends in production, possible limiting factors, expected employment, expected changes in prices, order books, and assured production in number of months.



To estimate the level of the figure, the arithmetic average of all measurements so far is provided. In time this average will converge to the neutral value for each question.
