Country of origin and country of consumption
The countries are ordered by country code. The used classification is the nomenclature of countries and territories for the external trade statistics of the European Union and statistics of trade between Member States — known as the ‘Geonomenclature’ and abbreviated to GEONOM
CIF and FOB
Imports in CIF=Cost, Insurance and Freight value.
Export value by FOB=Free On Board HS We use an 8-digit HS-classification called CN (Combined Nomenclature). The CN classification established by Council Regulation (EEC) No 2658/87 of 23 July 1987 to meet, at one and the same time, the requirements both of the Common Customs Tariff and of the external trade statistics of the European Union. These categories are based on the international Harmonized System (HS), the global system of nomenclature that is used to describe most world trade in goods, maintained by the World Customs Organization (WCO). Virtually all countries base their tariff schedules on the WCO's Harmonized System. The CN classification used at present is from 2021, and is based on the HS classification from 2017. It is possible to search for HS numbers at the Faroese Customs: Overview - Customs Tariff (taks.fo) It is also possible to search for HS numbers at Statistics Denmark:The Combined Nomenclature (CN), v1:2021 - Statistics Denmark (dst.dk)
